RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INDEMNIFICATION
AGREEMENT WITH MOUNT LAUREL TOWNSHIP
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough") wishes to effectuate an
Intergovernmental Transfer of Police Officer Louis Muzyka to the Borough
from the Township of Mount Laurel ("Mount Laurel") in accordance with the
Rules and Regulations of the New Jersey Department of Personnel; and
WHEREAS, Mount Laurel has requested indemnification from the Borough for
its participation in the above described Intergovernmental Transfer; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough has determined that providing
the requesting indemnification to Mount Laurel is in the best interest of the
Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that the Mayor and appropriate Borough officials are
hereby authorized and directed to execute an indemnification agreement with the
Township of Mount Laurel in a form acceptable to the Borough Attorney.
Adopted this 4th day of October, 2001
and certified as a true copy of the original
on October 5th, 2001.
