ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SIZE OF THE DEPARTMENTS
OF CITY GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE,
INDIANA, FIXING SALARIES FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SUCH
DEPARTMENTS AND FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN
OTHER APPLINTED OFFICIALS FOR THE YEAR 2011.' `
WHEREAS, Ordinance 2010 -4 established the salaries of employees of the City of
Greencastle for the year 2011;
WHEREAS, the City will have salary allocations that will not be spent by the end of
2011,
WHEREAS, employees received no increase in salary for the year 2011, the City
wishes to supplement those salaries.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle that it hereby amends Ordinance 2010 -4 to raise the salary of each employee
listed in that Ordinance, who has been employed on a full -time basis since January 1,
2011 and who continues to be employed by the city on this day, by $550. The salaries for
all full -time employees hired after January 1, 2011 and all part -time employees that
regularly work at least twenty hour per week, twelve months per year, shall be increased
by $275. Crossing Guards employed by the city will receive a one time $50 increase to
their pay. This increase shall apply to salaries for 2011 only and shall not be added to
each employee's base salary for the purpose of salary calculations for following years.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle
Common Council and its approval by the Mayor.
