CALL TO ORDER
The May 2, 2008, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:05 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Carroll, Klindt, Koon, Layton, and Penfold
Absent: Crane, Ferguson, Harvey, Medin, and Smith
A quorum was not present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Mayor John Landwehr asked Chief Roger Schroeder to update everyone on the brief
interruption of the 9 -1 -1 service during last night's storm. Chief Schroeder explained the
procedures that were followed when the interruption occurred.
Appointments:
Mayor John Landwehr distributed a list of proposed appointments to Council standing
committees, ad hoc committees, and liaisons to boards and commissions. He stated that
if anyone wished to make a change to contact him before Monday night. He also explained
that he would like the two new appointments to serve as liaisons to the Chamber of
Commerce Site Development Review Board and Transportation Committee to be
interchangeable as alternates for one another to make sure both those boards are always
covered by the Council.

Councilman Jim Penfold pointed out some language that he believed may be contradictory.
City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus stated he will take a look at it.
