CALL TO ORDER
The Work Session was convened at 5:30 P.M. on May 12, 2008 by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Carroll, Crane, *Ferguson (arrived at 5:40 P.M.), Koon, Layton, Medin,
Penfold, and Smith
Absent: Harvey and Klindt
A quorum was declared present.
STAFF PRESENTATION ON SURVEY RESULTS
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen gave a brief background of last year's Council retreat
and explained the survey in which the Council and a portion of city staff recently
participated. City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus then gave a presentation showing the results
of the survey using an overhead Power Point presentation. Following his presentation,
several questions were asked, and discussion held regarding the need to establish city
priorities based on the results of the survey as shown by Council.
Mr. Nickolaus showed that the survey concluded the highest priority and concern of both
staff and the Council was city infrastructure needs and improvements.
The Council discussed ideas about ways to address such a need, and will continue to
discuss it in the future, but no actions were taken at this time.
