1 . Chairman's announcements
The VNA in conjunction with the BOH will hold a Blood Pressure, Glucose and Cholesterol screening on Tuesday May 23 , 2017 from
10AM - 2PM at the Brewster Ladies Library .
2 . Reorganization of the Board of Health
Motion : Nominate Dr . Scherzo for Chairman .
Motion : Mary Chaffee Second : James Gallagher Vote : 5 -0-0 Action : Motion carried
Motion : Nominate James Gallagher for Vice Chairman

3 . Paul R . Tardiff, ESQ., P . C . — Approval of Nitrogen Aggregation Loading Plan for 261 Cranview Road
This has been continued until the June 7, 2017 meeting .
4 . Christine Centorino — 8 Sheep Pond Circle — local variance request
Joe Centorino was present and explained that because the Board had concerns with the separation to groundwater, they hired J . M .
O' Reilly to do a survey of the whole system and the Board has a copy of the results of that survey . The separation from the bottom
of the SAS to the ground water is actually 23 . 1 feet, not the 5 feet the Board originally thought . He stated that they are still looking
for the 24 foot variance from the SAS to Sheep' s Pond .
Motion : Approve the request to allow the SAS to remain 276 feet away from Sheep' s Pond .

Mrs . Graczewski wanted to remind the Board that at the last meeting they were also concerned with the age of the system as it was
starting to show signs of wear as evidenced by the need to replace the d - box and fix the tank .

Mrs . Ice stated that Mrs . Graczewski was correct but wanted to add that the leaching pit had showed no signs of use .
Dr. Scherzo stated that he did a site visit and let the Board know that there is a large upslope from the pond to the house .
Mr. Gallagher suggested adding the following findings to the motion : the separation from the bottom of the SAS and groundwater is
23 . 1 feet and groundwater does flow SE, which is away from Sheep' s Pond .
Motion Vote : 5 -0-0 Action : Motion carried with findings
5 . Discuss MAHB request to endorse a letter to Governor Baker re : gas pipelines
Dr . Chaffee stated that after reviewing this she is in support of having the Board of Health join the other Boards of Health in signing
the letter .
Motion : Have BOH sign the letter of support to Governor Baker
Motion : Mary Chaffee Second : James Gallagher ( for discussion purposes )
Mr . Ford thinks this will have a great impact on homeowners trying to hook up to gas .
Mrs . Graczewski things the letter is mingling two different things and doesn' t support signing the letter.
Dr . Scherzo read a statement about healthcare costs, and effects of the fracking on the public .

6 . Review and approve the 3/ 15/2017 minutes
Motion : Approve the minutes as written

James Gallagher mentioned the tick testing again and that people can go to www , tickreoort . com for information .
7 . Review and approve the 4/5/2017 minutes

Mrs . Graczewski mentioned the Eversource spraying of herbicides in Connecticut only .
9 . Topics the Chairman did not anticipate
Dr . Scherzo spoke about the proclamation for George Heufelder. He also spoke about the letter of support from the Board for the
319 Grant that he wrote .

Dr . Scherzo asked Mr . Gallagher if he would be willing to chair the next meeting as he would not have time to prepare due to
traveling . Mr . Gallagher will chair the 6/7/2017 meeting .
