A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR THE
LYNWOOD NATURAL PARK PROJECT FOR GRANT FUNDS
ISSUED BY THE RIVER PARKWAY GRANT PROGRAM
UNDER THE SAFE DRINKING WATER, CLEAN WATER,
WATERSHED PROTECTION AND FLOOD PROTECTION
BOND ACT OF 2000
WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have
provided funds for the program shown above; and

WHEREAS, the State Resources Agency has been delegated the responsibility for
the administration of this grant program, establishing necessary procedures, and
• WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Resources Agency require a
resolution certifying the approval of application by the City Council before submission of said
application to the State, and
WHEREAS, the City, 1f selected, will enter into an agreement with the State of
California to carry out the project, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Crty Council of the Crty of
Lynwood as follows•
Section 1 • The City Council approves the filling for an application for the
Lynwood Natural Park Project; and
Section 2: The City Council certifies that the City understands the assurances and
certification m the apphcatlon form; and
Section 3 The City Council certifies that the City has or will have sufficient funds
to operate and maintain the prod ect; and
Section 4 The City, Council certifies that the City has reviewed and understands
the special and general provisions contained in the Sample Project Agreement shown in the
Procedural Guide, and
Section 5 The City Council appoints the City Manager as agent to conduct all
negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to application,
agreement, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion for the
aforementioned project; and
Section 6 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
