A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATION OF TEN THOUSAND-FIFTY DOLLARS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
GENERAL FUND BALANCE FOR THE 2001 YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL CLINIC
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood has one of the most outstanding youth sports programs in all of
southeastern Los Angeles, and
WHEREAS, The Youth Flag Football Clinic is an ideal method to kick-off the winter sports
y i season which is conducted,in conjunction with the Lynwood Sports Association, and
WHEREAS, The clinic will have college, professional and other chmc~ans, whom have played
' professionally; and
WHEREAS, The Youth Sports Program serves hundreds of Lynwood youth between the ages of
five (5) and fourteen (14) years of age.
WHEREAS, This is a program which was not identified m the budget document as part of the
2001/2002 fiscal budget; and
WHEREAS, The projected operating budget for this program is ten thousand-fifty dollars
($10,050 00) '
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim, order
and resolve as follows
Section 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to carryout any necessary transactions
as so ordered by this resolution.
Section 2. That a fund appropriation m the amount often thousand-fifty dollars ($10,050 00) be
executed as follows

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
