CALL TO ORDER
The May 30, 2008, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:00 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Carroll, Crane, Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Layton Medin, and Penfold
Absent: Ferguson and Smith
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Public Hearings: The Council stated they wished to take up Bills 2008 -10 and 2008 -11 as
well as 2008 -12 immediately following the public hearing since they are all related.
Reports: Councilman Mike Harvey and Councilwoman Jane A. Smith will present a report
on their trip to Emmittsburg, MD for the national emergency planning conference. Mayor
Landwehr suggested a work session with the County officials to study a little more in -depth
the role of elected officials in emergencies.
Bill 2008 -21 (Vacating Stonehill Road): Mayor John Landwehr disclosed that he would
abstain from any discussion or voting on this item in case of a tie due to a conflict of
interest. He will ask President Pro Tempore Kenneth Ferguson to sign the bill after passage.
