I. Call to Order: Roll Call
A. Mayor Murray called to order at 4.36 PM, Trudy Selvia present and Susan V Murray
present, Thom Morris arrived at 4.43 PM
II Special Requests
III. Approval of Minutes
A Regular Session — July 20, 2011
B Special Session — August 3, 2011
1 Motion by Trudy Selvia to approve both sets of minutes as presented, second by
Susan V Murray, 2 -0, motion carried
IV. Department Reports
A. Fire Department — Bill Newgent
B Police Dept — Tom Sutherlin
C Department of Public Works — Brad Phillips
D Planner — Shannon Norman
E Water & Wastewater — Richard Hedge
F Attorney — Laurie Hardwick
G Park and Recreation — Rod Weinschenk
V. Old Business
A Proposals for 231 Repair, tabled from July, 2011
1. Superintendent Hedge updated Council on 231 repairs with information from
DePauw University regarding a class interested in doing bore testing as a class
project.
VI. New Business
A Contract with Bernardin, Lochmueller and Assoc for South Street Engineering
1. Extension of South Street to 231 This project will be funded through EDIT.
Mayor Murray asked Baord for permission to sign this contract. Trudy Selvia moved
to allow Mayor Murray to sign this contract moving forward on this project, second by
Thom Morris, 3 -0, motion carried.
B Grant Administration Contract for IHCDA
1 Mayor Murray presented a contract allowing a grant administrator be hired
Asking for this Board's permission to sign this contract after Resolution approved by
Common Council Motion by Thom Morris to give authorization to Susan V. Murray
to sign contract with IHCDA upon passed Resolution, second by Trudy Selvia, 3 -0,
motion carried
C Grant Administration Contract STAR Development
1. Mayor Murray presented a contract for permission to be signed by her for grant
administration on the IHCDA project Trudy Selvia moved to allow Susan V Murray
to sign this contract upon approval of other steps, second by Thom Morris, 3 -0,
motion carried.
D Hedge updated Board on Gillespie Street sewer line project is complete
VII. Approval of Claims
A Water
1. Trudy Selvia motion to approve claims as presented, second by Thom Morris, 3 -0,
motion carried
B Wastewater
1. Motion by Susan V. Murray to approve claims as presented, second by Thom
Morris, 3 -0, motion carried.
VIII. Adjournment
A Motion by Thom Morris to adjourn at 4.53 PM, second by Trudy Selvia, 3 -0, motion
carried.
