AMENDMENT TO FY 1991-92 FTA SECTION 9 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS - PALM SPRINGS AND INDIO URBANIZED AREAS Budget & Finance Committee and Staff Recommendation That the Commission: (1) Approve the proposed amended FY 1991-92 FTA Section 9 Program of Projects for the Palm Springs and Indio Urbanized Areas subject to modification, if required, as a result of the public hearing, and (2) Request Caltrans to exchange $448,300 and $100,115 of restricted capital funds for unrestricted operating funds from the Palm Springs and Indio Urbanized Areas, respectively. 4E. Staff Recommendation That the Commission approve the proposed Property Purchase and Repurchase Option agreements. 5. CLOSED SESSION 6 6. GENERAL ITEMS. 66A. ROLE OF THE AB 1248 COMMITTEE Staff Recommendation JACK REAGAN That the Commission should currently advocate roles and responsibilities of the AB 1246 Committee generally consistent with that described in Paragraph 3 of the staff memorandum. The results of such revised roles and responsibilities should be -monitored for a period of one or more years in relation to the enhanced ability of the Commissions to cumulatively influence the SCAG planning process to better serve their collective and individual interests.
