RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH HOUSING
SERVICES, INC. TO PERFORM CERTAIN DUTIES IN CONNECTION
WITH THE BOROUGH'S SCATTERED SITE HOUSING
REHABILITATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") has received certain
money pursuant to Regional Contribution Agreements ("RCA's) with various
communities; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has undertaken an extensive Scattered Site
Rehabilitation Program to utilize Said RCA Fund's; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has determined that it is in the Borough s best ~nterest
to utilize the services of' Housing Services, Inc. ("Housing Services") to assist the
BorougJn in accomplishing the rehabilitation program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment of Housing Services,
Inc. at a maximum cost , not to exceed $180,000.00, billable per attached
contract;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this award is made without competitive
bidding in that the services to be performed are in the nature of extraordinary
unspecified services mad therefore exempt pursuant to N.J.S.A. 11-5, et seq.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute the attached agreement on behalf of the Borough.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this award shall be advertised as
prescribed by law.
