A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BY AND AMONG
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND SGS CONSULTANTS
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood 'is a general'law city located in the
County of Los Angeles, and organized and existing under and by virtue of the
laws and constitution of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, SGS Consultants is well versed in the areas of research,
legal analysis, fiscal analysis, analyzing proposed development of educational
facilities, community outreach, and government relations; and
WHEREAS, The City wishes to make use of services such as these to
have the Consultant'assist in the research and analysis of the existing. Lynwood
Unified School; District (hereafter referred to as "LUSD") facilities plan and
funding sources; act as a liaison of the City and Agency with other officials;
recommend strategies to maximize City's strategies for LUSD using
Redevelopment Sites and City owned properties for schools; and market the
Gity's Centers of Excellence concept among community stakeholders and other
elected. officials
NOW THEREFORE, ~E IT .RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the
attached agreement..
.Section 2. That the City Council authorize the appropriation of $30,1100
from the unappropriated general fund to Account Number 01-4112-4230.'
Sect; That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROPED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 2001.
