RESOLUTION NO. 2001.124
ARESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ORDERING THE VACATION AND
ABANDONMENT A PORTION OF APRICOT STREET, IN
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
` WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on the 1st day of
October, 2001, adopted Resolution No. 2001-103, declaring its intention to vacate that portion
of Apricot Street from-Fernwood Avenue to ,the southerly Iine of Lot 41 of Modjeska Park Tract
~~ Map ;and
' ~ WHEREAS, notices of said vacation have been publicized in the time, form, and
manner required` by law; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the matter was held' on the 16th day of October,
as prescribed by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows: ~ - r
' Section_1. That the following described portion of street is unnecessary for present
or prospective.public use, and that the,public interest, necessity and convenience require that the
City Council of said City hereby order the vacation and abandonment of a portion of said street:
. That portion of Apricot Street bounded to the south by the northerly right=of--way
line 'of Fernwood Avenue, and to the north by the. extension of the southerly line of Lot 41 of
Modjeslca Park Tract, in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California, Map
Book 9, Pages 142-'1'43 of maps in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder.
Section 2. That the City Council of the Crty of Lynwood does hereby determine
that the public convenience and necessity require that easements be retained for construction and
maintenance of utilities within the limits of said portion of street as described in Section 1.
Section 3 That;the City Clerk of the Crty of Lynwood shall cause a certified copy
of said .order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County.
Section 4..Ths resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
