A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR URBAN~RECREATIONAL AND
CULTURAL CENTERS, MUSEUMS AND FACILITIES FOR WILDLIFE EDUCATION OR
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD
PARKS,. CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AfR AND COASTAL PROTECTION. BOND ACT OF
2000 FOR THE LYNWOOD OUTDOOR PERFORMANCE ARENA
,;;,,, , WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Urban.
~:, Recreational and Cultural~Centers, Museums and Facilities for Wildlife Education or
'; Environmental Education Program which provides funds to the State of California for
Grants to cities Counties Nonprofit organizations and federally recognized California
Indian Tribes, and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been
delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state and
grant project Lynwood Outdoor Performance Arena setting. up necessary procedures;
and '
WHEREAS, said procedures~~established by the California Department of
Parks and Recreation require the Applicant's Governing Body to certify by resolution the
approval. of the application before submission of said' application to the State, and
WHEREAS, the Applicant will enter into a contract with the State of
California for the Lynwood Outdoor Performance Arena.

NOW, THEREFORE,. the City Council. of the City.of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim,. order and resolve as follows
Section 1 Approves the filing of an application for local assistance funds
from. the Urban Recreational and Cultural Centers, Museums and Facilities for Wildlife or
Environmental Education Grant' Program under the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean
~~' Water, Clean Air and Coastal ProtectiohyBond Act of 2000.

`-° ~ 'Section 2. Certifies that the Applicant will have sufficient funds to operate
and maintain the project.
Section 3. Certifies that the Applicant has reviewed,. understands and
agrees to the General Provisions contained in the Contract shown. in the Procedural
Guide `
Section 4. Appoints the City Manager as agent to conduct all
negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to,
applications, agreements, payment request, and so on, which maybe necessary for the
completion of the Lynwood Outdoor Performance Arena.
Section 5 This resolution shall go into effect.immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 26th day of
OCTOBER , 2001.
