. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
° LYNWOOD APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO SCHEDULE 4
OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE
° CONSOLIDATED FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF LOS
ANGELES COUNTY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SIGN THE REVISED SCHEDULE; AND AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATION OF $7,470. FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
GENERAL FUND BALANCE TO 1-4558-4210 TO COVER THE
v ~ ~ "ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR FY 2001„-2002
WHEREAS, In 2000, the Lynwood City Council approved the agreement,
entitled AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES BY AND BETWEEN THE CONSOLIDATED
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRLCT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY AND THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ("Agreement"),and. `
WHEREAS, The Agreement between the City and the Consolidated Fire
Protection District of Los Angeles County (County) included the lease/purchase of a
Quint apparatus by the County; and
WHEREAS, According to the County, Fire Station 147 would need to be
. '-modified. in order to .provide the necessary clearance to store the Quint; and
WHEREAS, The County offered to pay 50 percent of the total. cost of $74,700;
and
WHEREAS, The acquisition of the Quint apparatus would enhance the ability of
the fiirefighters to provide fire suppression. services to Lynwood.
NOW,, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND,. PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

.Section 1. That the City Council approves the amendment to Schedule 4 of
. the Agreement between the City and the Consolidated Fire Protection District of 'Los
Angeles County to carry out the modifications to Station 147 and to approve the sharing
of the cost equally between the City and the County:
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to sign the
amended Schedule 4 of the Agreement.
Section 3. That the City Council authorizes the following appropriation to
cover the costs for this project for

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
