RESOLUTION NO. 2001.146
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
_ AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN, MANAGEMENT SALARY
SCHEDULE AND AUTHORIZING THE RECLASSIFICATION OF IDENTIFIED
INCUMBENTS AND AN APPROPRIATION INCREASE FOR THE REMAINDER
OF FISCAL. YEAR 2001-02
.~ WHEREAS, Personnel Rules and Regulations, Rule IV, Section 4 Reclassification, provides for an
employee to be allocated to a more appropriate class when the duties of which have changed materially as to
necessitate reclassifications, .and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an Employee Classification and Position Plan and
` amended same as needed, and

WHEREAS, the City Council. has identified the need for the inclusion of a position description for
Director of Environmental Services/City Engme'er; Assistant Director of Environmental Services/City
Engineer; Assistant City Engineer; Deputy Director/Redevelopment; Deputy Director/Economic
Development; Program Development Coordinator, Manager of City Council Affairs, Parking Control
Supervisor, Business License Manager, and Community Service Specialist; and'certain necessary and vital
daily functions will be carried out on behalf of the individual departments as a result in making this change;
and
WHEREAS, the required. job analysis has been completed and a classification statement prepared on
that basis; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted a salary resolution with salary
schedules including a Management salary schedule and an appropriate salary range has been determined, and
~~ WHEREAS, the City has identified a need to .upgrade salary levels of identified positions; and

~: ~WHEREA$, the organizational needs require an appropriation from the unappropriated fund
~6alances; .and
WHEREAS; rt is in the best interest of the City to make these changes.
' NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does find and resolve as follows.
Section 1. Amend the Employee Classification and Position Plan and Management Salary
Schedule and reclassify current incumbents (positions); where applicable, as identified '
