A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT
NO. 2001-02 WITH RESPECT TO EXCESS CALTRANS
a PARCELS LOCATED ALONG AND ADJACENT TO THE
NORTH SIDE OF THE I-105 (CENTURY) FREEWAY,
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
IMPERIA! HIGHWAY AND FERNWOOD AVENUE,
RUNNING EAST TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF
.. ATLANTIC AVENUE AND FERNWOOD AVENUE. THE

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of iynwood did pursuant to law, conduct
a public hearing on November 20, .200.1 on a proposed General Plan Amendment
regarding the above-identifies properties; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood carefully considered all
documentation presented as well as oral and written communication from the public
regarding the General Plan Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has determined that the
a proposal could have a significant effect on the environment, there will not be a

Section. i. The Lynwood City Council hereby finds and determines as follows:
A. ~ The General Plan Amendment will be consistent with the objectives, goals
and the development policies of the City of Lynwood.
B. The General Plan Amendment would. provide the City with an opportunity
to obtain tenant/landlord revenue, sales taxes, and/or franchise fees.
C. The General Plan Amendment will not adversely affect the General Plan.
and is consistent with the goals and policies in the Lynwood General Plan. \
D. The General Plan .Amendment is would be compatible with surrounding
land uses and zoning designations.
E. The existing infrastructure is adequate ~o support the General Plan
Amendment and applicable project. --

Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based upon the
aforementioned findings and determinations hereby approves General Plan Amendment
No. 2001-02 subject to Exhibits .1 and 2 attached hereto.
Section 3. The City Clerk is .hereby directed to certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution and to cause it to be published or .posted as required by law.
