CALL TO ORDER
The August 29, 2008, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:00 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Crane, Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Medin, Ferguson (arrived at 12:05 p.m.)
Absent: Carroll, Layton, Penfold, Randolph
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
There was discussion about the bid for a new parking enforcement vehicle. There was a
question about the vehicles price. Pat Sullivan explained that the vehicle is a special order
vehicle and there is only one provider of such a vehicle.
Janice McMillian said she would hand out a draft of restrictions for the property in Bill
2008 -51 from Mr. Lear on Tuesday before the council meeting.
Councilman Crane questioned why the wording on RS 2008 -22 "This policy shall continue
in effect until rescinded by the Council and shall not expire upon the adjournment of this
Council." is not used in all resolutions. Mayor Landwehr suggested that this wording should
be added to some resolutions. He also suggested a book of continuing and renewable
resolutions of the current Council.
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen handed outa packet with answers from staff regarding
questions from the last Budget Work Session.
