A RESOLUTION OF THE' CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE IN REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE
LIMITS FOR THE 2002 STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
SUMMER FOOD SERVICES PROGRAM
WHEREAS, for the past 11 years the City of Lynwood has participated in
the Summer Food Services Program funded by a grant received from the State
Department of Educatori of California; '
. WHEREAS, the program serves children up to seventeen (17) years old
that participate at Ham Park and the Lynwood Youth Center between June and
September annually;
' WHEREAS, during the 1999 fiscal year over two hundred children were
fed breakfast and.~lunch at City facilities,
WHEREAS, during the 2000 fiscal year the number of children fed
increased to over 300 children;
WHEREAS, this is a reimbursable account and that raising the Revenue
and Expenditure Limits would pose no additional cost to the City,
. WHEREAS, due. to 'an increase in participation, an inccease~ in the
Revenue a'nd Expenditure Limits are being requested
' .NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve the following ,
- Section 1. 4The City Manager or fiis designee is authorized to carry out
any necessary transactions-as so ordered by this Resolution '
Section 2. That the Revenue~ancrease be allocatetl as follows

Section 3. 'This Resolution. shall take .effect immediately upon its
adoption ,
