(BUDGET COMMITTEE)
CALL TO ORDER
The Council Budget Committee Work Session meeting of September 17, 2008, was
convened at 5:33 P.M. by Councilman Rich Koon, Finance Committee Chairman
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Crane, Harvey, Koon, Layton, Medin, and Penfold, and Randolph
Absent: Klindt
Arrived Late: Carroll* (arrived after 5:30), Ferguson* (arrived after 5:30),
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION
Co- Chairman Koon turned the meeting over to City Administrator Steve Rasmussen for staff
presentations.
Discussion was held regarding the document that was distributed covering the Council -
requested information. The Council discussed Police and Fire Fighters ratios, JCTV, and
fleet management program.
A motion was made by Councilman Jim Penfold, seconded by Councilwoman Cindy Layton,
to include the part -time animal shelter employee to go to full time, and approved by the
following roll -call vote:
Aye: Crane, Harvey, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold, and Randolph
Nay: None
*Councilwoman Carrie Carroll and Councilman Kenneth Ferguson arrived at this
point in the meeting.
A motion was made by Councilman Ron Medin, seconded by Councilman Mike Harvey, to
adopt the budget as just amended by the preceding vote, and approved unanimously by the
following roll -call vote:
Aye: Carroll, Crane, Ferguson, Harvey, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold, and
Randolph
Nay: None

ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Councilman Ron Medin, seconded by Councilman Mike Harvey, to
adjourn, and approved unanimously at 6:40 P.M.
