RESOLUTION NO. 2002.011
A.RESOLUTION OF'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING THE LYNWOOD FEE SCHEDULE TO INCREASE THE
~/ ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR THE RELEASE OF PROPERLY
IMPOUNDED AND/OR STORED VEHICLES FROM $78 TO $119
WHEREAS, On April 7, 1992, the Lynwood City Council approved Resplution
#92=53 that established a $50 service charge for release of stored and/or impounded

WHEREAS, On March. 3; 1.998 the Lynwood' City Council approved Resolution
#98-32,that amended this fee to $78, and
WHEREAS, California Vehicle Cpde Section 22850 5 authorizes a city to adopt
an ordinance or resolution establishing procedures forthe release of properly
impounded. vehicles and for the imposition of a charge equal to its administrative costs,
and

WHEREAS, The City of. Lynwood .has conducted a cost allocation plan and user
fee- study that.reflects the. costs reasonably borne to by the City in providing this service
are actually $1.19, and
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwpod is desirous to recover 100% of the costs
associated with providing this service
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, STATE~OF CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE,
' ~ DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized tp carry out any
necessary transactions as so ordered by this resolution
SECTION 2. The section of the Lynwood Fee Schedule that contains the
administrative fee for the removal, impound, storage, or release of a vehicle, as

authorized by Section 22850 5 of the California Vehicle Code should be increased from
$78 00 to~$119 00
SECTION 3. The administrative fee authorized by this Resolution is in addition
to all other charges that are authorized or imposed under the California Vehicle Code for
the removal', impound, storage, or release of a vehicle ~ ,~ '
SECTION 4. This resolution .shall take effect immediately upon its adoption
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15`h day of January, 2002
