RESOLUTION NO 2002.023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ,OF
LYNWOOD ORDERING THE VACATION AND
ABANDONMENT A PORTION OF PEACH STREET, IN THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on the 15th day of
~~` January, 2002, .adopted Resolution No. 2002-006, declaring its intention to vacate that portion of
ti ~ Peach Street from Beechwood Avenue to the northerly line of Sanborn Avenue; and

WHEREAS,'notices of said vacation have been publicized in the time, form, and
manner required by law; and
- WHEREAS, a •pubhc hearing on the matter was held on the 19th day of
February, as prescribed by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows: • ,
Section 1. That the following described portion of street is unnecessary for present.
or prospective public use, and that the public interest, necessity and convenience require that the
Crty Council of said Crty hereby order the vacation and abandonment of a portion of said street:
That portion of that real property in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, commonly known as Peach Street, as, shown.on maps of Modjeska Park Tract
as per Map recorded in Book 9, Pages 142 and 143 of Maps, m the office of the County,Recorder
of said County, and Tract No. 2551, as per Map recorded m Book 24, Pages 78 and 79 of Maps,
in the office of said County Recorder, described as follows
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of Peach Street,. 40 feet wide,
with the .southerly line of Beechwood Avenue, 50 feet wide, being the northwest corner of Lot
249 of said Tract No. 2551; thence North 84°12'40" West 40.93 feet, more or less, to the
intersection of the westerly line of Peach Street, 40 feet wide, with said southerly line of
.Beechwood Avenue, being the northeast corner'of Lot 1 of Block 17 of said Modjeska Park
Tract; thence .along said westerly line of Peach Street and the easterly line of Lots 1 acid 12,
inclusive, of .said Block 17 of said Modjeska Park Tract South 17° 59'45" West 327.58 feet to
the westerly prolongation of the centerline of Sanborn Avenue, 40 feet wide; thence along last-
mentioned westerly prolongation South 84°10'55" East, 40.92 feet to said easterly line of Peach
Street; thence along said easterly line of said Peach Street and the westerly lines of Lots 249 and
50 of said Tract No. 2551 North 17°59'45" East 327.61 feet to-the Point of Beginning.
Said real property is depicted~on Exhibit "A" attached hereto
.Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby determine
that the public convenience and necessity require that necessary easements be retained for
construction and maintenance of utilities within the limits of said portion of street as described. in
Section 1. .-
Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall cause a certified copy

.Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon rts adoption.
