A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE AND TRANSFER $50,0000 00 OF
UNAPPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND TO THE UNDERGROUND
STORAGE TANK PROJECT SAND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH LOFY ENGINEERING
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board has
requested additional information and testing to determine the extent of groundwater /soil
contamination, if any, at City Hall North Under Ground Tank Storage Site, and
WHEREAS, the City must comply with the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality
Control Board requests, and
WHEREAS, Lofy Engineering has previously worked on this site and is familiar
with the site and reports: and
WHEREAS, Lofy Engineering has submitted a proposal for professional services,
and
WHEREAS funds are needed m the Under Ground Storage Tank Project to cover
additional expenses,, and
WHEREAS, funds are available m the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows•
Section 1 That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to make the
following fund appropriation and transfer:
From
Unappropriated General Fund
$50,000 00
To
Under Ground Storage Tank
Project, OS-5209-4220
$50,000.00
Section 2. The Crty Manger is authorized to negotiate and execute an agreement
with Lofy Engineering for Professional Services for an amount not to exceed $50,000 00
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
