CALL TO ORDER
The Special Council Meeting of December 8, 2008, was convened at 5:30 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for the roll call:
Present: Carroll, Ferguson, Klindt, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold, and Scrivner
Absent: Harvey and Randolph
A quorum was declared present.
DISCUSSION
Mayor John Landwehr stated that he and the Council prefer to conduct tonight's meeting in
open session rather than go into Closed Session.
A lengthy discussion was held regarding the topic of the Highway 179 interchange, including
several questions asked by the Council following staff's overhead power point presentation
on the topic.
BILLS INTRODUCED
Bill 2008 -103, sponsored by Councilman Penfold, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH COLE COUNTY FOR
PAYMENT OF THE ENGINEERING COSTS FOR THE HIGHWAY 179 PROJECT TO
MoDOT.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business brought forward at this time, a motion was made by
Councilman Jim Penfold for adjournment, seconded by Councilman Rich Koon, and
approved unanimously at 6:25 P.M.
