RESOLUTION NO 2002.046
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH
CARL WARREN & CO FOR THIRD PARTY
ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY'S SELF-INSURED
LIABILITY PROGRAM FOR THE PERIOD OF
ti APRIL 16, 2002 TO APRIL 16, 2005
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is self-insured entity which has a third party
administrator perform liability claims services, and
WHEREAS, an independent. audit and request for proposals was conducted m
2000 to determine the best provider for the City; and
WHEREAS, an independent interview panel was selected to conduct appraisals of
the proposals~submitted, and
WHEREAS, the results of the process resulted m Carl Warren .&" Co ranlcmg
number one overall, and
WHEREAS, it is iii the best interests of the City to ensure and continue the
quality adm~mrstration of the City's self-insured habihty program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve, order and determine
as follows
Section 1 That the Service Agreement between Carl Warren & Company and
the Clty of Lynwood be approved for the period of April 16, 2.002 to April 16,
2005
Section 2 Thrs resolution s11a11 take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of Apri 1 , 2002
