A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY '
' OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO UTILIZE THE .CITY'S HIGH TECHNOLOGY LAW ENFORCEMENT
GRANT OF $52,313 TO PURCHASE SIXTEEN ADDITIONAL
ANTI-GRAFfITt CAMERAS TO BE DEPLOYED
STRATEGICALLY THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF LYNWOOD

WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood as part of its strategic plan expressed
the desire to create and maintain a clean community; and- ~ ,
WHEREAS, One of the strategies identified to meet this goal was the
installation and monitoring of anti-graffiti cameras, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff's Department has reported the effectiveness of
anti-graffiti cameras.in graffiti prevention and reducing gang congregation in
targeted areas, and ~ '
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood 'has received a High Technology Law
Enforcement Grant in the .amount of $52,313 that is eligible to be used for the
purchase of additional anti-graffiti cameras. y
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to carry out
any necessary transactions as so ordered by this resolution.

Section 2. That the City Council authorize the City Manager or his
designee to transfer the High Technology Law Enforcement Grant in the amount
of $52,313,to Account #01-4555-4273.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 2"d day of April, 2002.
