Call to Order/Aeenda Changes
Vice Chair Enochty called the meeting to order at 6 : 00 p .m.

PRIORITY BUSINESS
Administrators ' Reports
Vice Chair Enochty asked members to email the Principals if they had questions with the reports that were included in
the packet.
Mr. Gauley distributed his report and reviewed highlights that included the Curriculum Assessment Committee work
and the Title I Grant reduction . He also distributed the Summer Professional Development schedule to the Committee .
Eddy School Announcements included the Cape Cod Five presentation for students about saving money and the ribbon
cutting ceremony for the Nature Trail that will take place on May I $` at 9 : 00 a .m .
The Superintendent reported there will be an Open Meeting Law presentation sponsored by the Attorney General ' s
Office on May 16 , 2017, 5 : 30 p . m . at the Nauset Regional Middle School, auditorium . He also reported that he and
Ms . Venditti have been working with Barry Schofield on the carpet and abatement issue , He has been very busy
getting ready for town meetings .
FY17 Budget Review
Giovanna Venditti reviewed the FYI budget for the Stony Brook School noting an ending balance of $94, 782 . She
reported that she has adjusted the fuel and electric accounts and unencumbered $40, 000 . The S .N. preschool tuition of
$ 82,614 has been reclassified into Circuit Breaker funds . At Eddy School the balance is $23 ,330 .95 . She highlighted
several accounts that had minor adjustments this past month.
Declare Epuiument Surplus
On a motion by Claire Gradone, seconded by Jessica Larsen, it was voted unanimously to declare surplus equipment
on the lists provided from Stony Brook and Eddy School .
Town Meeting Prenaration
The Superintendent indicated that Chair David Telman will present for the Brewster Elementary School Budget and
Chair John O ' Reilly will present for the Region at the Brewster Town Meeting. He will be at the Eastham Town
Meeting.
Superintendent' s Evaluation,
The Superintendent asked Committee members if they would like paper copies or electronic copies of the
Superintendent evaluation documents . It was the consensus of the Committee to receive and fill out the document
electronically. The Superintendent reminded the Committee that he spends about 40- 50% of his time working with the
School Committees ,

Principal's Search
The Superintendent distributed the schedule to School Committee Members and indicated that he would like a member
to volunteer to be on the Search Committee . He also indicated that Keith Gauley will be leading the process as he did
in the hiring of the Eastham Principal, Bill Crosby. He also mentioned that this is a unique situation with talk about
the schools merging. He indicated that the process will be extensive and that there will be a Principal, teachers and
parents on the Search Committee . Marie Enochty indicated that she would like to be on the Search Committee .
Reports and Information
Preschool Enrollment — Preschool enrollment was distributed and there were no questions .
Cape Cod Collaborative — Jessica Larsen reported that the Collaborative looking for Director of Waypoint and they
are interviewing a new treasurer .
School Councils — No report.
PTO — No meeting.
Policy Subcommittee — No report.
Transportation Subcommittee — Claire Gradone indicated that the Transportation Subcommittee will May 2°a at 4 : 30
p .m.
Substance Abuse Subcommittee — Jessica Larsen reported that Middle School students completed the survey and Dr .
Caretti is reviewing the data and then the committee will talk about next steps . They plan to release the survey and
noted that kids have a lot of anxiety.
Approval of Minutes
On a motion by Robert Miller, seconded by Claire Gradone, it was voted to approve ( 1 abstention, Marie Enochty) the
minutes of March 16, 2017 .
Adjournment
On a motion by Jessica Larsen, seconded by Claire Gradone, it was voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 6 : 33
p .m .
