Constable of the Town of Brewster
Greetings:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to
notify and warn the inhabitants of Brewster who are qualified to vote in town affairs to
meet at the Brewster Baptist Church, 1848 Main Street, in said Brewster on
TUESDAY. THE EIGHTEENTH OF MAY. 2004, then and there to elect the following
officers:
Two Selectmen for three years
One Moderator for one year
One Constable for one year
One Town Clerk for three years
Two Brewster School Committee members for three years
Two Nauset Regional School Committee members for three
years
Two Board of Health members for three years
One Planning Board member for five years
One Brewster Housing Authority member for four years
One Water Commissioner for three years
One HDC member for four years
One HDC member for three years
And vote upon the following ballot questions :
A) Shall the Town of Brewster be allowed to assess an additional $70,000.00
in real estate and personal property taxes for the purpose of funding one
(1) fire inspection officer position and related employee benefits for the
Fire Department for fiscal year beginning 7uly 1, 2004?
B) Shall the Town of Brewster be allowed to assess an additional $60,000.00
in real estate and personal property taxes for the purpose of funding the
contract with Barnstable County to provide regional emergency/ public
safety dispatching services for the Police and Fire Departments for fiscal
year beginning 7uly 1, 2004?
