Greetings :
In the name of the of Hssacnusetts you are hereby
directed to notify and *Nay_. '__^habitants of Brewster qualified to
vote in Town affairs to meet =she Brewster Elementary School on
Monday ., October 26 , 1970 at then and there to act upon the
following articles :
ARTICLE 1 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from free
cash in the treasury the sum of Twenty Seven Hundred ( $2700 . 00 ) dollars
to the Board of Health Expense A-ccount ,
ARTICLE 2 . To see if the down will vote to appropriate from. free
cash in the treasury the sum of Two Thousand rive Hundred Fifty Nine
Dollars and Seventy Two Cents ( w2559 . 72 ) to pay the interest costs on
money borrowed in anticipation of takes .
ARTICLE 3 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from free
cash in the treasury the sum of One Thousand Dollars ( $1 , 000 . 00 ) to the
Veterans budget account .
ARTICLE 4 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from free
cash in the treasury the sum of One Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars
W1450 . 00 ) for appraisal fees on Underpass Road _ A . Percie Newcomb Road
and Slough Road,
A= CrE 5 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from the
Road 111achinery General Fund , the sum., of Seven Hundred Dollars ( $700 . 00 )
to be used for the purchase , maintenance and operation of Road Machinery .
ARTICLE 6 . Tc see if the Towyn will vote to erect and maintain a
street light on pole 18/ 5 on Linnell. Landing Road .
ARTICLE 7 . To see if the Town will vote to erect and maintain
three street lights on i4iillstone goad on poles numbered - 13 - 16 - 24 .
ARTICLE 8 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from free
cash in the treasury a. sum of money to be used with the balance remaining
from the appropriation under Article 21 of the annual town meeting to
deccrate the front stair area of the Town Hall .
ARTICLE 9 . To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum
of Three: Million Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ( $3 , 220 , 000.) for the
purpose of establishing a water supply- in order to supply the Town and
its inhabitants with water as provided in Chapter 552 of
the hots of 1965 ,
including the acquisition of land , including land for a standpipe site
generally as indicated on certain plans prepared by Vhitman & Howard ,
Engineers , dated November 10 , 1960 as most recently revised Au �w::. : - ' 0 , 1910 ,
and interests in land and the construction of such system and related
facilities necessary for placing the system into operation, and to determine
whether such appropriation shall be raised by borrowing or otherlrise or
to take any other action relative thereto .
ARTICLE 10 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from free
cash in the treasury the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ( 852000 . 00 ) for the
purpose of erecting a fence and clearing brush along the playing field
at the lrews-ter Elementary School .
A= = CLE 11 . To act on any other business that may legally come
before
And you are directed to serve this 1,,'arrant by posting attested copies
thereof in at least five public places in different parts of the fawn
seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting ,
Hereof fail not , and make due returns of the Karrant with you doings
thereon to the Town Glerk at the time and place of meeting , as aforesaid .
