CALL TO ORDER
The February 27, 2009, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:05 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Carroll, Ferguson, Klindt, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold, Randolph,
and Scrivner
Absent: Harvey
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Announcements of upcoming events: City Administrator Steve Rasmussen announced
that the regularly scheduled work session will include the following topics: (1) update by the
Chamber for 2008; (2) sidewalks, and (3) infrastructure needs.
Presentations from Staff: the presentation on Command Web will be given by the
Chamber rather than the CVB
Councilman Dan Klindt asked if the Council might consider taking up the trash issue
immediately after the meeting starts since there will no doubt be several people present on
that topic. The Mayor and Council agreed that would be a good idea.
2008 -138, 2008 -139, and 2008 -140: (mandatory trash / recycling): Councilman Ron
Medin stated there will be a substitute version of the contract which will provide for a 32-
gallon cart for $13.50 per month, and there is a possibility of three tiers:
1. 2000 smaller carts at $13.50, with large carts at $15.34
2. 4000 smaller carts at $13.50, with larger carts at $15.71
3. 6000 smaller carts at $13.50, with larger carts at $16.27
