ENDORSING FY 2008 NJDOT DISCRETIONARY AID
GRANT APPLICATION FOR CARTERET WATER & BIKEWAY
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex,
New Jersey are desirous of obtaining discretionary funding from the NJDOT Tmst Fund
Authority Act, Fiscal Year 2008 Municipal Aid Program for the Carteret Water &
Bikeway; and
'VHEREAS, the Governing Body has authorized the Borough Engineer, T &M
Associates, to prepare a Discretionary Aid Grant Application for submittal for funding
under the FY 2008 NJDOT Grant Program; and
'VHEREAS, the Borough Grant Coordinator has prepared said discretionary aid
application for Carteret River Walk & Bikeway from Carteret Waterfront Park to
Industrial Avenue, via Carteret Landings; and
'VHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the above described Discretionary Aid
Application and has approved of the same, having detemlined that the referenced project
includes improvements that are significant to the area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Conncil of the Borongb
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that the Borough of Carteret
hereby endorses the submission of the above described FY 2008 NJDOT Discretionary
Aid Grant Application to the New Jersey Department of Transportation and that the
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certifled copy oftlus Resolntion along with three
signed copies of the application be forwarded to the Borough Engineer for submission to
the District Local Aid Office within the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
