CALL TO ORDER
The March 13, 2009, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:05 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Carroll, Ferguson, Klindt, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold, and Scrivner
Absent: Harvey and Randolph
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Announcements of upcoming events: Councilman Rich Koon will announce that the
upcoming Mill Bottom Committee meeting will include a closed session.
Appointments: Since the Fire Department appointments do not require Council action, they
should be moved on the agenda to "Presentations by Staff" category so City Administrator
Steve Rasmussen can introduce the new Fire hirees to the Council.
Presentations by Staff: Councilman Rich Koon asked if the student essay contest winners
could be moved up on the agenda. Mayor John Landwehr and the Council agreed that
would be a good idea to allow the 5th grade students to leave after their essays are
recognized.
Informal Calendar: City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus stated that he would request this bill
be held over on the Informal Calendar pending finalizing the negotiations with the affected
parties.
