A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO BEST DR'FLLING AND PUMP INC., AS THE APPARENT LOWEST
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER IN THE AMOUNT OF -$646,775.00 FOR THE DRILLING
AND DEVELOPMENT OF WATER WELL NO. 22, PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.894
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council on December 15, 200 adopted Resolution No
2009 236 approving the ,plans, specifications and contract documents for drilling and
development of Water Well No 22, Project No 4011 67 894 and authorizing staff to
seek bids on the Project, and
WHEREAS, Contractors bids were received in the office of the City Clerk on
January 14, 2010, and.
WHEREAS, the Director of .Public Works has ascertained that Best Drilling and
Pump, mc, was the apparent lowest responsible bidder at $646,775, and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this Contractor has the
necessary experience and Contractor's license for this type of Project; and
'°WHEREAS, the cost of this project will be paid from the 2008 Water Bond
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Drilling and Development of Water Well No
22 Project No 4011 67.894 be awarded to the apparent lowest responsible bidder Best
.Drilling :and 'Pump Inc , m the amount of $646,775
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and Best Dnllmg and Pump Inc , in a form approved by
the City Attorney
:Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon,its adoption
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution
