A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO DON PETERSON CONTRACTING INC., AS THE APPARENT
LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,600.00 FOR THE
REPLACEMENT OF THE SAND: SEPARATOR FOR WATER WELL NO. 9, PROJECT
NUMBER 4011.67.876 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE
CONTRACT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the bidding documents were issued for bidding for the Replacement
of the Sand .Separator at Water Well No 9, and
WHEREAS, four bids were received in the office of City Clerk on January 14,
2010, and `
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has ascertained that Don Peterson
Contracting, Inc ,was the apparent lowest responsible bidder at $44,600, and
WHEREAS,, a reference check has revealed that this Contractor has the
necessary experience and Contractor's license for this type of Project; and
WHEREAS, the cost of this project will be paid from the Water Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Replacement of the Sand Separator at
Water Well No, 9, Project No 4011 67 876 be awarded to the apparent lowest
responsible bidder Don Peterson Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $44,600
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and Don Peterson Contracting, Inc , in a form approved
by the City Attorney
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2"d day of February, 2010.
