GREEN ACRES ENABLING RESOLUTION
"'IIEREAS, the New Jersey Depaliolent of Environmental Protection, Green Acres
Program (UStdte"). provides loans and lor grants to municipal and county governments
and grants to nonprofit Qrganizations for assistance in the acquisition and development of
lands for outdoor recreation and conservation purposes; and
'VHEREAS, the Borough of Cafferct desires to further the public intent by obtaining
fimding in the amount of $2,000,000.00 from the State to fund the following project (8):
Carteret Community Pool & Recreation Center at a cost of$8,475,000.00
NO''', THEREFORE, the governing bodylboard resolves that Ron McPhee or the
successor to the office of Grants & Public Information Coordinator is hereby authorized
to:
(a) make application for such a loan and lor such a grant.
(b) provide additional application infom~ation and furnish such documents as may be
require4 and
(c) act as the authorized corresp9ndent of the above named applicant; and
"'HEREAS, the applicant is willing to use the State's funds in accordance with such
ndes, regulations and applicable statutes and is willing to enter into an agreement with
the State for the above named project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE Borough of Carteret
L That the Mayor of the Borough of Carteret of the above named body or board is
hereby authorized to execute an agreement and any amendment thereto with the
State known 'as the Carteret Community Pool & Recreation Center.
2. That the applicant has its matching share of the project, if a match is required, in .
the amount of$6,475,000.00.

WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program ("State"), provides loans
and/or grants to municipal and county governments and grants to nonprofit organizations for assistance in the acquisition
and development of lands for outdoor recreation and conservation purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret desires to further the public interest by obtaining funding in the amount of
$2,000,000.00 from the State to fund the following project(s): Carteret Pool & Wellness Center at a cost of
$8,475,00.00. '
NOW, THEREFORE, the governing bodylboard resolves that Ron McPhee or the successor to the office of Grants &
Public Information Coordinator is hereby authorized to:
(a) make application for such a loan and/or such a grant,
(b) provide additional application infonnation and furnish such documents as may be required, and
(c) act as the authorized correspondent ofthe above named applicant; and
WHEREAS, the State shall detennine if the application is complete and in confonnance with the scppe and intent of the
Green Acres Program, and notifY the applicant of the amount of the funding award; and
WHEREAS, the applicant is willing to use the State's funds in accordance with such rules, regulations and applicable
statutes, and is willing to enter into an agreement with the State for the above named project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE (name of legal body
or board)
1. That the (name of authorized official) of the above named body or
board is hereby authorized to execute an agreement and any amendment thereto with the State known as the Carteret
l Pool & Wellness Center;
