HomeMy Public PortalAbout1984-045" Member Ze-1/ ��//4 r a �� /3 e and moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. /57-47.5-- RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE TO CONNIE AND RONALD DAHL TO PERMIT CONSTRUCTION OF A GARAGE AT 3026 LAKESHORE AVENUE WHEREAS, Connie and Ronald Dahl ("applicants") have applied for a variance to the provisions of Section 610 of the Medina Zoning Ordinance to construct a garage; and WHEREAS, a variance to Section 610 of the Medina Zoning Ordinance may be issued to the applicants because the ordinance imposes the following undue hardship to the applicants in the use of the land: 1. Variance will permit garage to be lined up with existing structure on property 2. The property on which the garage will be constructed slopes to the rear of the property making construction elsewhere impractical and WHEREAS, the granting of the variance requested will not confer on the applicants any special privilege that is denied to owners of other lands, the variance will not be materially detrimental to the purposes of the ordinance or neighboring property, and the variance requested is the minimum variance which will alleviate the hardship; and WHEREAS, the applicants appeared at public hearings before the Medina Planning Commission on May 8, 1984, and before the Medina City Council on June 5, 1984. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Medina, that a six foot setback variance and a twenty-four foot setback variance to the provisions of Section 610 of the Medina Zoning Ordinance is hereby granted subject to the following terms and conditions: (1) Said construction shall be in accordance with plans submitted to the City of Medina on property legally described as: Lots 10 and 11, Block 14, Independence Beach, Hennepin County. (2) The applicants shall comply with all provisions of the Medina Zoning Ordinance. 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city Council of the City of Medina that the violation of any of the foregoing conditions is declared to be a violation of the Medina Zoning Ordinance in accordance with Section 801.1 of the Zoning Ordinance.
