A. Vendor Selection for the Purchase, Instal- ACTION
lation and Maintenance of the San Bernardino
and Riverside County Call Box Systems.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Riverside/San-
Bernardino Bi-County SAFE Technical Evaluation
Committee recommendations to: (1) Approve
recommended vendor for the installation and
maintenance of motorist aid call box systems
in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, and
(2) Instruct SAFE staff(s) to prepare a
contract with the recommended vendor for
execution at the respective March 1990 SAFE
Board meetings. (Recommendation and materials
to be provided at the meeting.)

B. Vendor Selection for Cellular Radio Telephone ACTION
Service for the San Bernardino and Riverside
County Call Box Systems.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve SAFE staff(s) (Orange,
Riverside and San Bernardino Counties)
recommendation for selection of vendor and the
execution of the contract to provide cellular
radiotelephone service for the motorist aid call
box systems for Riverside and San Bernardino
Counties. (Recommendation and materials to be
provided at the meeting)
C. Techplan Phase III Contract - To Provide ACTION
Technical Assistance During Call Box System
Installation and Associated Tasks Identified
in the Work Program Included in the Attachment.

RECOMMENDATION: That the San Bernardino County
and Riverside County SAFES approve the Phase III
Contract with Techplan Corporation in the amount
of $89,668, with costs to be shared between the
two SAFES based on generated SAFE revenue as has
been past practice.

A. RIV/SAN Model Institutional Arrangements, INFO
Update and Application to Riverside County
Measure "A" Projects Environmental Analysis.

B. I-215 Environmental Analysis - Joint Effort ACTION
Between RCTC and SanBAG. (Mark Massman)
RECOMMENDATION: That RCTC and SanBAG agree
in concept to participate in and fund project
development work leading to approval of the
Project Report and Environmental Document for
the planned improvement of Interstate 215.
