Meeting was called to order at Spm .
Attendees : Hal Minis and Susan Riseman
Hal and Susan discussed ideas for distribution of the Bike Safety flyer that Hal and Kirsten prepared
earlier in the summer. Some comments were received from the Chamber of Commerce around the
content .
There was some discussion regarding obtaining tee shirts for the Bikeways Committee members so we
could distribute the flyers next year while on the Bike Path with the thought of creating more visibility
for Brewster Bikeways assisting with some reminders around safe cycling .
We also discussed setting up a meeting with several of us and the Brewster incoming Chief of Police,
Captain Heath Eldredge and Chief of Police Dick Koch to talk about coordination of efforts with BPD for
next spring .
We also received a letter from Harwich Bikeways asking for a letter of support from us to obtain warning
lights at the Pleasant Lake intersection . We will provide such a letter.
Regarding the purchasing and installation of the 4 traffic warning signals that were approved for
purchase at the annual town meeting last spring, Susan and Rick met with Pat Ellis over the summer to
discuss next steps and it was mentioned that Pat wanted to get a couple more quotes before going
through with the bid .
