CALL TO ORDER
The May 4, 2007, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:05 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Brown, Crane, Ferguson, Klindt, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold, and
Smith
Absent: Harvey
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
APPOINTMENTS:
Mayor John Landwehr explained that he does not have a final list of appointments to boards
and commissions yet, but he hopes to have one in draft form to distribute possibly Monday
night.
PRESENTATIONS:
Audit - Councilman Brian Crane stated he did not believe he would have time to read the
audit by Monday night. The Council asked that the presentation be made Monday night
subject to recall of the auditor if there are further questions after Monday night. Finance
Director Steve Schlueter was asked to find out if the city would be billed if a Council
member called the auditor to ask questions.
BILLS:
2007 -6 - Questions were asked regarding the zoning history and proposed developments
in the area.
2007 -10 - Councilman Brian Crane wanted to know what other contracts may be expiring
and whether staff could look at the books to document the cost increases.
Mayor John Landwehr asked if staff would be prepared to also give a thumbnail summary
of each bill pending before it is voted on by the Council at Council meetings to help the
public know what the bill is before it is voted on.

OTHER BUSINESS:
Work Session - CityAdministratorSteve Rasmussen will announce the agenda for the May
14 work session under Announcements of Upcoming Events at Monday night's meeting.
