CALL TO ORDER
The May 18, 2007, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:05 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Ferguson, Klindt, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold, and Smith
Absent: Brown, Crane, and Harvey
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
6(a) - Questions were asked regarding item 6(a), public hearing on 77 acres of land
addressed as 2653 Frog Hollow Road. Mayor John Landwehr asked the Council to ask staff
to be ready to answer some of those questions by Monday night. Councilwoman Cindy
Layton stated that she and Councilman Kevin Brown had concerns regarding people in the
Colonial Hills area which were outside the 185 foot notification area.
6(b) - Rezoning 904 Eastland Drive: City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus stated the developer
and residents have reached an agreement in principle, and staff supports granting a
continuance of this issue. Mayor John Landwehr announced that a continuance would be
granted at Monday night's meeting.
PRESENTATIONS:
Mayor John Landwehr wants to have a quarterly report on the issue of flood mitigation and
have a plan on paper in about nine months from now.
BILLS:
2007 -18 - City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus stated that this bill will be withdrawn, and that
he has been in communication with the sponsor, Councilman Brown, about it.
