AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
CONTRACT WITHT&M ASSOCIATES, RE: TRAFFIC
ENGINEERING SERVICES INDUSTRIAL ROAD
TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND IMPROVEMENTS
"'HEREAS, the Borough of Cafteret is in need of professional engineering
services with regard to traffic engineering services related to Industrial Road
traffic signals and improvements; and
\VHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T&M
Associates, possess~s the requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Donald J. Norbut,'<P.E., C.M.E. ofT&M Associates has submitted a
proposal to provide said engineering services at a total cost not to exceed
$109,750.00; and
'VHEREAS, the NIayar and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said pu'rpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED hy the Mayor and Council of the
Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
I. The proposal from Donald J. Norbnt, P.E., C.M.E. of T&M Associates
with regard to traffic engineering services related to Industrial Road traffic
signals and improvements at a total cost not to exceed $109,750.00, at the
hourly rate set fmih in T & M's existing contract with the Borough is
hereby approved.
2. Atmexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3, This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:II-5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's
Fair and Open Process as authorized by law,

THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following:
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICE
INDUSTRIAL ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND IMPROVEMENTS.
NOT TO EXCEED $109,750.00.
According to the terms set forth in the Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set forth in
Resolution.

caused these presents to be signed by their proper corporate officers and their corporate
