CALL TO ORDER
The June 29, 2007, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:00 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Harvey, Koon, Layton, and Penfold
Absent: Brown, Crane, Ferguson, Klindt, Medin, and Smith
A quorum was not present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
West McCarty Street Properties issue
Councilman Jim Penfold requested that the Council invite the Historic City of Jefferson to
have ten minutes to make a presentation. Following discussion whether this would be
appropriate, Mayor John Landwehr stated they can sign up individuals who wish to make
a presentation under Presentations from the Gallery and each of those persons will be
allotted to five minutes as are other members of the public.
BILLS
2007 -34 (Tour of Missouri Bicycle Race)
Mayor John Landwehr explained the background of this issue. City Counselor Nathan
Nickolaus stated the Law Department is still waiting to have some questions answered on
the insurance issue connected with the contract.
2007 -44 (W. McCarty Street properties, Medin version)
Assistant to the City Administrator Melva Fast stated the city has received bids from three
demolition contractors. She was asked to distribute it to the Council and the media as soon
as they are complete.
NEW BUSINESS
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen suggested announcing the two work sessions on July
9 and July 17.

CLOSED SESSION
There will be no necessity for a closed session; the City Clerk was directed to remove it
from the agenda.

The meeting adjourned at 1:00 P.M.
