HomeMy Public PortalAbout1984-069Member e c c,bA its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 4, 7 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID ON THE HAMEL SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Medina advertised for bids for the rehabilitation of the Hamel Sewer Lines in Sections 11 and 12, Township 118, Range 23, abutting on the following streets: Brockton Lane Hamel Road Hunter Drive Comanche Trail Hickory Drive Co. Road 116 Mill Street Elm Creek Drive; and Highway 55 Sioux Drive Pinto Drive Kilkenny Lane Tower Drive Highway 101 Evergreen Road WHEREAS, bids were receiving, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received, complying with the advertisement: S. J. Louis Construction, Inc. 0 & P Contracting, Inc. Latour Construction Co. Northdale Construction Co. Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. Mueller Pipeliners-Sewer, Inc. Orvedahl Construction, Inc. Crossings, Inc. Widmer Bros., Inc. Nodland Associates, Inc. $214,247.00 227,172.70 229,014.50 232,437.00 239,617.50 253,349.05 258,484.00 266,778.86 273,062.00 273,167.00 WHEREAS, it appears that S. J. Louis Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA, MINNESOTA: 1. S. J. Louis Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid- der and the Mayor and the City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, with the said S. J. Louis Construction, Inc., in the name of the City of Medina, for the improvement described herein in accordance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk/Treas- urer. 2. The City Clerk/Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders, the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and of O & P Contracting, Inc. shall be retained until the contract has been signed by all parties.
