A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE
MAINTENANCE OF THE LYNWOOD SEWER SYSTEM PROJECT
TO NATIONAL PLANT SERVICES, INC.
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City sewer system consists of 406,000 linear feet of sewer
pipeline, and
WHEREAS, the sewer system is in need of a cleaning, and
WHEREAS, the available budget for sewer maintenance is $80,000.00; and
WHEREAS, bids were solicited and three proposals were received from qualified
sewer cleaning contractors; and
WHEREAS, 181,800 linear feet will be cleaned, representing 45% of the sewer
system mainlines, and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the bids, checked all references, and ranked the
bids; and
WHEREAS, National Plant Services, Inc is the apparent lowest bidder and
possesses the qualifications and experience necessary to perform the services required for
$80,000.00; and
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 • The City Council approves the selection of National Plant
Services, Inc to clean the 181,800 linear feet of City sewer pipelines fora fee of
$80,000.00
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the_ contract
agreement with National Plant Services, Inc
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of May, 2002.
