A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF VENDORS THROUGH THE
INFORMAL BID PROCESS FOR THE 2002 UNITY FESTIVAL/JULY 4TH
-~.. CELEBRATION
rvl WHEREAS, the Crty of Lynwood desires to present a program which offers
• diverse entert'amment and the July 4th Fireworks Celebration, and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of these services would be more economically and
efficiently effected through the use of the informal bid process; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by a 4/5 vote can approve funding through an
alternate bid procedure;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows•
Section 1. The City Council waives the fornzal bid procedure for the acquisition
of a Pyrotechnic vendor for the provision of the 2002 fireworks display for July 4th
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED THIS 21sT day of May 2002
