A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FROM THE 2002/2003
FISCAL YEAR DURING THE 2001/2002 FISCAL YEAR CONDUCTION OF
THE 2002 UNITY FESTIVAL/JULY 4T" CELEBRATION
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to offer a program combining the Umty
Festival and the July 4th Fireworks Celebration to be held on July 4`~' 2002, and
~ WHEREAS, funding for the Umty Festival/July 4th Celebration must be arran ed

prior to the adoption of the 2002/2003 fiscal year budget by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, the funding for the Unity Festival/July 4th Fireworks Celebration is
estlinated to cost $25,000.000, and
WHEREAS, the funding for this program is traditionally included m the operating
budget of the City of Lynwood on an annual basis
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows•
Section 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to complete any
transactions necessary to bring all issues addressed in this resolution to fruition.
Section 2. The City Council authorizes funding m the amount of $25,000.00 from
the 2002/2003 fiscal budget to be encumbered for the Umty Festival/July 4th Celebration
during the 2001/2002 fiscal year
