The Undergrounding Project Phase II is underway after some lengthy delays. Phase II will be going north from Golfview Road to County Road. We will be advertising November 29, 2015 for bids to construct Phase II of the Undergrounding Project with an award expected during the third week in January. Please be patient and have a clear vision of how beautiful our town will look once the project is complete. Phase I is completed with exception of the communication (ATT & Comcast) wires, which are in the process of being relocated. NOTICE OF WATER RATE INCREASE Beginning with the December — January 2016 billing cycle, water rates will increase 4%. In addition, due to the anticipated expense of repairing, replacing, and upgrading the existing antiquated water line infrastructure, the Reserve Fee will increase from $15.00 per month to $30.00 per month per the approved 2015- 2016 budget. BARRIER ISLAND FIRE DISTRICT FEASIBILITY STUDY The Barrier Island Fire District Feasibility Study bid was awarded to Matrix Consulting Group, Ltd. Once the feasibility study gets the approval, the consultants will have 90 days to study the towns and report back to the coalition. POLICE REMINDER The Police Department would like to remind all residents that with the approaching holidays, to remember to remove valuables from cars and lock the doors. Please be considerate of your neighbors and do not put your garbage out until the morning of your collection date. • When walking your dog, please be courteous to other residents and pedestrians by taking responsibility and picking up after your dog.
