A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AMENDING FEE SCHEDULE ORDINANCE NUMBER
1291 TO ESTABLISH NEW FEES AND REVISE FEES IN
REVENUE COST COMPARISON SYSTEM -
WHEREAS, workshops have been held with Lynwood City Council to
discuss the Cost of Services Study prepared by DMG Maximus; and
WHEREAS, the report provided the City with cost-of-service information
and identified service areas where the City may implement new fees and
recommended fee adjustments, and
WHEREAS, the study provided data outlining various services which are
highly subsidized primarily by the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the cost of rendering such services should be borne by the
individuals or.group who .are beneficiaries of the such services rather than the
citizenry at large; and
WHEREAS, it is the` City's policy to recover costs reasonably borne for
services provided at a policy level approved by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, current charges are insufficient to cover all business costs
associated with providing certain services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a duly noticed public hearing on the
proposed fees with an opportunity for the public to be heard.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, order, and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council approves the schedule of amendments
to the City of Lynwood's Fee Schedule
SECTION 2. That the new fees and adjustments related to developer fees
as :listed in the revised fee schedule shall become effective on September 16,
2002.
SECTION 3. That revised fees other than developer fees shall become
. effective July 16, 2002.
SECTION 4. That this resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of Jam, 2002.
