HomeMy Public PortalAbout1984-080Extract of Minutes of Meeting of City Council City of Medina Hennepin County, Minnesota Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a ,1�'c c,a_i!. meeting of the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on p.m. ;t yr, , October _, 1984 at n The following members were present: And d er s o n j L v e s %G� ) e /3 fiV 5�iTi, te_t/ / and the following members were absent: ►1crz Councilman e-‘,, c- (� resolution and moved its adoption: introduced the following Resolution No. �'S0 RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Medina (the "City") has received from a developer a proposal to undertake a project within the City of Medina; and WHEREAS, the developer has requested that the City of Medina issue its industrial development revenue bonds in the amount of $3,300,000 to finance the project; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Park is an entitlement issuer under Laws of Minnesota 1984, Chapter 582 and of the City of Brooklyn Park allocation and other amounts of entitlement obtained through joint powers agreements approximately $3,400,000 is remaining; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Park is willing to enter into a joint powers agreement with the City of Medina to make available to the City of Medina from the City of Brooklyn Park's allocation the sum of $3,300,000 so that the City of Medina can issue its industrial development revenue bonds in the amount of $3,300,000 for the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City as follows: 1. The joint powers agreement, substantially in the form presented to the City Council, is hereby approved and the Mayor and the Clerk -Treasurer are authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. The City Attorney is authorized to approve changes to the joint powers agreement prior to execution by the City. 2. The City's approval of this agreement shall in no manner be deemed to be approval of the project or approval by the City of issuance of its industrial development revenue bonds for the project. 3. The developer is required to follow all established City procedures in regard to this project including but not limited to City Council review of the project.
