A rabid raccoon was killed in Driftwood Landing and another was killed in
Place Au Soleil. Please notify Town Hall or the Police Department if a
raccoon or other wild animal is observed that displays unusual behavior.
The following precautions should be taken:
• Keep pets inside as much as possible.
• When pets are outside, keep them on a leash.
• Avoid all wild animals.
• Keep garbage cans secured.
• Do not leave any kind of food outside.
The Town is coordinating preventive efforts with the County Animal
Control Agency.
If an animal is caught in a trap on or near your property, contact the Police
Department immediately and DO NOT APPROACH the trap.
